The Boy, a friend of his and I set out for Corvallis last Saturday morning to take in the Oregon State v. Hawaii game at Reser Stadium. Normally, we don’t get to a game until later October or November because September is just so crazy around here. But we wanted a special treat…
to see a game that wasn’t cold, wet or COLD. We were rewarded in spades!

I have to say you are looking so much healthier than before. Glad you could spend the time with the Boy.
Hey…I think that’s me waving to you all the way across the stadium! Section 18, row 2, seat 24. Go Beavs! Beat SUC USC!!!
Looks like you and your boys had a good time at the Beavs game, eh? Nice!
But John – c’mon man! The NFL is where it’s at!
Ahem, forgot to add this:
So, I’m an Oklahoma State alum, right? (Go Pokes!)
Oddly enough both Oklahoma AND Oregon States’ colors are orange and black. I’ve got a ball cap that is all orange with just the “O” from Oklahoma State on the front and “State” written on the back.
All the time people are coming up to me saying, “Go Beavs!”
All I can say is yeah – Go Beavs… and.. Pokes.
I poke a more clearly Oklahoma State cap this summer and it’s been nice to not get mistaken all the time! Ha!
As a rule, I enjoy most teams that have adopted the perfect football colors… OKState, IdahoState, and OregonState.
Funny story… when The Boy was about 8-9 years old. We are in a local convenience store that sells dozens of college baseball caps. Everything from Virginia Tech to the Florida Gators. He spies the orange & black OSU hat and starts begging (because I’ve trained my kids well… not the begging, the orange & black). I just look at it and ask him “Why do you want an Oklahoma State hat?”
He put it back.
Glad you had a good at the game with The Boy. Maybe next year BSU will play OSU and we can meet at the game and watch OSU get crushed.
By the way…you…look…marvelous!
So, I cant say anything ‘mean’ about Caribou Barbie ON MY BLOG, but you can come to MY BLOG and disrespect MY team?
I see how it is. Its going to be tough to pick a winner in the game on Saturday in Boise.
I’ve got no problem in particular with OSU. It’s just that I am a BSU fan first. I might even be willing to concede that OSU is my #2 team. Regardless of which team wins, if they play, we need to meet and watch the game. I would definitely be a good time. The bragging rights for the winner would be priceless.
And you can say whatever you want on your blog. But so long as you keep you comments open, so can I. And you can do the same on my blog. I don’t delete comments (positive or negative) unless unless they are horribly offensive.
