There is no way I would have wanted to be a part of the DNC Rules Committee today. They had the unenviable task of deciding what to do with the Florida & Michigan primaries and their delegates. I posted my opinion on this controversy back in February.
To recap, Florida & Michigan moved their primaries so that they mattered, the DNC tried to bully them into moving back to their proper place in line… the didn’t so the DNC took their delegates away. Exactly 1, 487 Democratic Presidential candidates who were still in the race at that time decided to save campaign money and pulled their names off the ballot (or never put them on) in those two states. That is, everyone except Hillary, whose motto is “Play by my rules… or else“.
So, BIG SURPRISE… Hillary ‘won’ those states. Now I’m sure that if her road to the coronation had went according to plan, she wouldn’t have given a damn about those alleged delegates (and the POOR disenfranchised voters). Since the DNC knows that they would wake up tomorrow with a figurative horses head in their bed courtesy of Billy Boy, they knew what was best and gave Hillary HALF of her delegates. Still not enough to railroad her way into the White House, but a token of spinelessness just the same.
Now the fun begins, today Harold Ickes all but guaranteed a floor fight in Denver this summer. Nobody knows how to screw up a sure thing like the Democrats!
Yesterday DNC said to Floridians: you are only a half people. And today we respond to DNC: go to hell, we then chose McCain!
