When I think of my DREAM car…
… Steve McQueen’s Bullitt Mustang (Steve McQueen = Cool) is at the TOP of the list. When I was dating my wife, she asked if I had any foolish goals or hang-ups. After over an hour, she asked me to narrow them down. One of these days, I told her, I want to get a re-buildable 1967 or 68 Mustang Fastback. Just like Steve McQueen (McQueen + Mustang = uber Cool) and build it up from the chassis.
The Ford Motor Company is granting my wish with the (limited edition) 40th Anniversary 2008 Bullitt Mustang (go here for some awesome interior shots and decorations)
The Dodge Charger has been around for a couple years and is VERY fun to drive. I can’t wait to take the new Challenger for a spin when it hits the streets later this year.

Mustangs, Chargers and Challengers are the very epitome of the late-60’s/early-70’s true blue American muscle car guaranteed to make your pulse quicken.
**EDIT: I am NOT a Chevy Guy, I will need to ask for Robin’s forgiveness for not including the only exception to that rule, The Camaro. Chevrolet is rolling out a nod to Ford/Dodge run of retro-perfection with the 2010 Camaro. Even the Chevy Guys admit this is Chevrolet’s attempt to copy the unreachable Ponycar. Even with today’s digital copying systems, you still don’t have the original.

Funny… It looks more like the Challenger than the Ponycar
I don’t recall the El Camino being anything more than the butt of jokes. Oh, I’m sure there are a certain segment of the population that is going to rise up and cheer for the announcement that Pontiac is bringing it back!

That’s right! The 2010 El Camino. Just like the mullet… business up front, party in the back.

Dude. You forgot the bestest remake of all!
The 2010 Camaro. Based on the 1969 body style of course.

That’s the car I’m gonna marry!
Mustang and Charger: Retro never looked so good.
El Camino: What a butt crack.
@Robin: That’s a sweet looking ride as well.
