Last year I made a post of my thoughts on the legacy of Dr. King.
One year later, Dr. King’s legacy has a new point; a leading candidate for the office of President of the United States. In listening to Sen. Obama’s speech yesterday at Ebeneezer Baptist Church. Pastor King must’ve been so proud.
Several years ago there was a book called, The Five People You Meet in Heaven. I think that most would agree who #1 would be, for me, Dr. King would easily be #2. I would imagine that it will be a very long line. One of the questions I would ask…
When you gave the Mountaintop speech in Memphis on April 3, 1968, did you know that your time was short? Did you know that you would be felled by an assassins bullet the very next day?

Didn’t he actually say once that he didn’t think he’d live very long? Or that he wouldn’t last the decade? I can’t recall and I’m too lazy to look it up.
But I think that Dr. King would be up there on my five, too.
