High gas prices are one thing, but HIGH beer prices?

Say it ain’t so?!
According to an article in the Chicago Sun-Times, there is a hop shortage. Yes, hops. Those wonderful little pods of yummy beer goodness, didn’t fare too well this season and therefore the price of beer is expected to jump by 10% this winter.
I know those of you who drink Coors, Bud and other mass-market swill won’t care. But for those of us who drink brews called: Terminal Gravity ESG, W’07, Black Butte Porter and Ropewalk. Its going to be a rough winter!

John,
Considering you are a beer lover, figured I would pass on the name of a place you MUST go if you are ever in Washington DC. It’s called the Brickskeller, and it is in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most beers available at a restaurant/bar. Over 1300 on the menu! Granted, not all are in stock at all times. It is commonly known that you should have a backup choice when you are making a selection. But importing beers from Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America can be problematic. Anyway, try the place out if you are ever here.
Thanks Ryan, I’ll have to add it to my ‘before I die’ list. I wonder if the Make a Wish Foundation will send me there?
