Blog Name Generator
I was thinking that “Roundup City Ruminations” was kinda weird for a blog name. So I googled “blog names” to get some ideas. One of the links that came up was this Blog Name Generator. Go ahead, give it a try, I’ll wait.
Some of the suggestions are just like a Magic 8 Ball. They aren’t that great and not the answer you wanted, so you shake it again. My good friend Rick has a great blog called Another Storm. I really like his blog, I’m even man enough to admit that I have ‘blog envy’. Great name (I should ask him where he got it), good content and I love his banner pic (it’s the Eastern Oregon Native in me). I fooled around with templates and HTML editing for about 2 hours before I gave up. If I liked the banner or background picture, the fonts were all wrong and hard to read, when I found one with good fonts, the layout was screwed up. I guess I should just ask Rick to show me the ropes on making this a great blog. As for the name, I went through about a dozen shakes before I settled upon “My Challenged Life”. We’ll see how it wears on me.

You’re too kind. Actually, I’ve second guessed myself in the past about the name of my own blog. It just came to me last winter when I was working on it and we kept having those cold, wet, hellacious storms move through the area. But, I just ran with it and I’m sure I won’t change it any time soon. It’s as good as anything else I could come up with.
Yep, editing html within the confines of the Blogger structure can be a buggar sometimes, to say the least. If you want, I can show you how to put in your own links, etc…
I’ve really been happy with WordPress since switching to it from Blogger a few weeks ago. It’s pretty flexible, and there are a jillion more layouts. I like it because I can concentrate on the content instead of spending my time goofing around with html code. And I was able to migrate all of my Blogger posts and comments with no problem. If you’re getting frustrated with Blogger, you might want to check it out some time.
